A Special Interest Group is just that: a sub-group
of OutWorlders that serves a very specific purpose
and focuses on the needs and interests of a specific group. SIGs
have special status within OutWorlders.
OutWorlders currently has three SIGs in place:
OutWorldReaders:
Our book discussion group, which meets monthly to talk about a
certain title that the group has read. Please visit their page for
a list of the titles that they've enjoyed (or not), reviews, recommendations,
and more.

Writers' Group:
The Writers' Group, which also meets monthly, is a collection of
authors of varying ability level and ambition, who critique, encourage
and advise each other on their work. The group also produces a project
each year for distribution at Dragon*Con. Please visit their page

Ever since OutWorlders formed, there has been talk of eventually
hosting Gaylaxicon in Atlanta. That dream will now come true: this
group formed with the express purpose of composing a bid for Gaylaxicon
2007, which they won in July of 2005. Please visit their page to

Forming a Special interest group:
Members of OutWorlders interested in a particular topic or activity
may form a special interest group. Such a special interest group
is an official part of the organization in accordance with all of
the following guidelines:
